Dr. Paul Wilde

Dr. Paul Wilde is a founding fellow and the current President of the International Association for the Advancement of Space Safety.  He has 30 years of experience in safety standards development, launch and reentry safety evaluations, and explosive safety analysis.  Dr. Wilde currently serves as the Chief Engineer for Commercial Space Transportation in the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, where he develops innovative ways to resolve technical and policy issues, guides research, and facilitates educational outreach and training. As tri-chair for the Common Standards Working Group, he coordinates FAA, NASA, and the USSF efforts to establish and maintain common public safety requirements and compliance evaluation standards for all US space transportation.
